Dear Friends:
When I plan a new cruise, I look for three qualities: exotic locations, luxury, and value; that is, memorable places well out of the ordinary; cruise ships that offer superb comfort, cuisine and service. Wow, am I excited about this next adventure. I mean really excited.
We begin in Hong Kong, one of the most dynamic cities in the world. Then, we make two stops in Taiwan. The capital city of Taipei and then the coastal city of Kaohsiung. Taiwan used to be called Formosa which means beautiful in Portuguese for good reason. It's one of the most gorgeous countries in the world. From there, onto to Manila, Philippines -- pulsating with life and endlessly fascinating.
We downshift from big city life to one of the most remote spots on the globe -- Borneo. Ever think you would go to Borneo? From Borneo we travel to Vietnam, a country full of history; ancient and modern, at once painful and glorious. Cambodia is next. Finally, we end in Bangkok, another fascinating, exotic Asian city.
We will do all this on Nautica, an Oceania Cruise line ship. I've cruised Oceania before. They run a superb operation; the very essence of luxury, comfort and convenience. I am thrilled to be back onboard one of their ships.
