Guests can encounter resident lion prides, large elephant herds, and even the critically endangered Eastern black rhino, while the world-famous Great Migration brings more than a million wildebeest and zebra through the wider Masai Mara ecosystem each year.
Formerly the legendary Little Governors’ Camp, Wilderness Mara honors more than fifty years of safari legacy while embracing Wilderness’s conservation-led approach to hospitality. As Hein Prinsloo, Wilderness Kenya’s Chief Executive Officer, put it, the goal was to build on decades of authenticity and community while blending classic East African safari tradition with a low-impact, contemporary take on refined travel.
