When considering a trip to Europe, it can be a challenge to narrow down where to go and what to see. There are countless variables and many countries with colorful, fascinating histories and rich cultures. One thing is for sure: Regardless of the itinerary, the trip, experiences, and memories created will last a lifetime. Here are some ideas to get the ball rolling!
More people are partaking in the pleasure of traveling through Europe. Whether it is for one week, two weeks, or longer, there are some delightful properties and incredible sights to fill the time. Here are a few stand-out properties and experiences!
Paris: Explore the surrounding beauty and wonder during a stay at the Sofitel Paris Baltimore Tour Eiffel, in the heart of the 16th arrondissement. Walking distance from the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower, it is an ideal location for accessing some of Paris’s most recognizable sites. The rooms are beautiful (see the balcony photo), and the staff is unbelievably kind and helpful. In just a couple of days in Paris, it is possible to walk and Metro around the city to nearly all must-see spots: the Sacre Coeur, Notre Dame, Sainte-Chapelle, the Jardin des Tuileries, and, of course, Ile-St-Louis for a tasty ice cream treat: Berthillon.
Brussels: The gorgeous Hotel Amigo is located just down the block from the Grand Place and Manneken Pis, two of Brussels’ most popular tourist destinations. The property itself is exquisite, the staff is fantastic, and the breakfast (included as a Virtuoso amenity) is unbelievable. Wake up to Belgian waffles, chocolate, and a full buffet -- sublime! Fall in love with Brussels’ beautiful architecture, impressive sights, and unmatched beer (especially at Cantillon and the Brussels Beer Project).
Amsterdam: Experience the pleasure of staying at the glorious Hotel Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam, an impressive and historic property that once served as Amsterdam’s City Hall. Due to the hotel’s perfectly central location, it is possible to walk all around the city. Begin with a canal boat tour, wander around Vondelpark, enjoy some beer at Brouwerij ‘t IJ, which sits underneath a windmill, and enjoy an unforgettable meal at a legendary Amsterdam restaurant d’Vijff Vlieghen. The only complaint will be that the visit is not long enough!
